Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you're doing, you'll be successful.  ~Albert Schweitzer

What's your idea of success? At CryoDerm, ours is making plant-based products that we know for sure help people who suffer from pain. We've received thousands of testimonials in the past 20 years since our company began.

"Success" is a relative concept, and you shouldn't hold yourself up to anyone else's idea of it. Some people who have a billion dollars in the bank still aren't happy. Some people who live in poverty still manage to always be happy and upbeat. One chiropractor may be upset if they don't see 100 patients a week, while someone else is happy to have 20 patients a week and plenty of time to spend with the family.

The best thing that can happen, as Albert Schweitzer said, is to love what you're doing. You know you're in the right business if you get up every day looking forward to going to work. If you're in a profession of helping people feel better, whether you're the doctor who performs a successful surgery, the hairdresser who gives a great hairstyle, or the massage therapist who gets someone out of pain, it gives you a big sense of satisfaction at the end of the day to know that you made a positive impact.

If you're working at a job that doesn't make you happy, think about what else you'd like to do. One person wrote into an advice column and said "I've always wanted to go to medical school, but my family says I'm too old to start something that takes 8 years." The advice he received was "If you don't go, you'll still be 8 years older when the time passes, and you still won't be doing what you want to do." It's never too late to make a change, and it's never to late to do something that makes you happy.
