MEET OUR EDUCATORS
Laura Allen, B.A., LMBT
Laura Allen is the President of Sales and Marketing at CryoDerm. She has been an Approved Provider of Continuing Education under the NCBTMB since 2000, teaching classes in professional ethics, business and marketing, research literacy, teacher training, and massage techniques for getting people out of pain.
She has presented at numerous state chapters of AMTA, in Canada, and is on the regular visiting faculty of the Obus School of Healing Therapies in Leixlip, Ireland.
Allen is the author of numerous books and had many articles published in trade journals. Her regular ethics column, Heart of Bodywork, appears in Massage & Bodywork, the magazine of ABMP. She also regularly edits books and articles for other writers, and reviews manuscripts for publishers.
Allen is an advocate for the evidence-informed practice of massage and a supporter of the Massage Therapy Foundation. She has authored an e-book for the Foundation, Working with Physicians, which available as a free download.
